The third edition of “ART JOB FAIR,” a job fair focused on the arts and culture sectors is decided to be held. The event is scheduled to take place over two days, from February 1 to 2, 2025, at the TODA BUILDING in Kyobashi, Tokyo, which is expected to open this fall.
“ART JOB FAIR” was launched in 2023 as a platform for cultural and artistic organizations seeking talent to connect with job seekers. The fair was initiated in response to the significant impact of COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the cancellation, postponement, or downscaling many cultural and artistic events, greatly affecting artists and industry professionals. The event aims to address various challenges in job hunting within the cultural and arts sectors, and to support art workers in their job search and career development. The second edition, held in January 2024, saw the participation of 16 cultural and artistic organizations from both Japan and overseas, with 400 attendees. On average, each company connected with 2.5 potential candidates, and 80 percent of the exhibitors encountered individuals matching their desired profiles. The satisfaction rate among exhibitors was reported at 87 percent.
For the third edition, “ART JOB FAIR 2025” will be hosted in the event hall of TODA BUILDING, an emerging hub for business, arts and culture. The event will feature exhibitor booths staffed by recruiters, poster displays of job openings, and a talk event designed to foster interactions between cultural and artistic organizations and attendees. The venue will also include a free consultation corner and a kid’s play area. The event is open to anyone interested in art-related careers. Exhibitor applications are open until October 6, 2024, via the official website. Guidance and support are also available for those unfamiliar with job fairs, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants. It promises to be a valuable opportunity for both employers and job seekers.
