Blooming flowers in Kyoto

“Hanakessho” is a name given to the flower-like crystalline scenery on the vessels after emerging from the kiln, a result of the chemical reaction of the zinc content in the glaze. The flowery crystals are reminiscent of the dynamic beauty of the graceful city.
